Voting Rules in Washington
Washington is an all-mail state. Voter identity verified by signature on ballot envelope.
Ballots automatically mailed to all registered voters. Drop boxes and in-person voting also available.
Ballots mailed 18 days before Election Day. In-person voting centers available.
Voter registration must be completed by October 26, 2026. Online registration is available.
Same-day voter registration available through 8:00 PM on Election Day.
Polls are open from Ballots due 8:00 PM Election Day (by mail or drop box) on Election Day. If you are in line when polls close you are entitled to vote.
