Voting Rules in Montana
ID requested; non-photo accepted. Voters without ID may have another registered voter vouch for them.
Any registered voter may request an absentee ballot. Permanent absentee lists available.
In-person absentee voting available 30 days before Election Day.
Voter registration must be completed by October 4, 2026. Online registration is available.
Election Day registration available at county election offices.
Polls are open from 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Election Day. If you are in line when polls close you are entitled to vote.
