Voting Rules in Michigan
Photo ID requested. Voters without acceptable ID may sign an affidavit to cast a regular ballot.
Any registered voter may request an absentee ballot without an excuse.
In-person early voting available 9 days before Election Day.
Voter registration must be completed by October 19, 2026. Online registration is available.
Same-day voter registration available through Election Day.
Polls are open from 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Election Day. If you are in line when polls close you are entitled to vote.
