Voting Rules in Kentucky
ID requested to vote; non-photo accepted. Voters without ID may sign a voter identification certificate.
Absentee voting requires an approved excuse (illness, disability, work, etc.).
In-person early voting available the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday before Election Day.
Voter registration must be completed by October 13, 2026. Online registration is available.
Registration deadline is 21 days before Election Day.
Polls are open from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM on Election Day. If you are in line when polls close you are entitled to vote.
