Voting Rules in Indiana
Strict photo ID law. Voters without ID must cast a provisional ballot and return with ID or sign an affidavit of indigency.
Absentee voting requires an approved excuse.
In-person absentee voting available at county clerk offices 28 days before Election Day.
Voter registration must be completed by October 5, 2026. Online registration is available.
Registration deadline is 29 days before Election Day.
Polls are open from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM on Election Day. If you are in line when polls close you are entitled to vote.
