Voting Rules in Idaho
Photo ID requested. Voters without ID may sign a personal identification affidavit.
Any registered voter may request an absentee ballot without an excuse.
Early in-person voting is offered at each county's discretion; for the November 3, 2026 General Election it may begin October 13 and ends October 30 at 5:00 PM.
Voter registration must be completed by October 23, 2026. Online registration is available.
Election Day registration available at polls with photo ID and proof of residency. You may also register when voting early in person.
Polls are open from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Election Day. If you are in line when polls close you are entitled to vote.
