Voting Rules in Hawaii
Photo ID requested. Voters without ID may sign an affidavit. Hawaii is an all-mail state.
Ballots automatically mailed to all registered voters. In-person voting also available.
Walk-in voting available at voter service centers 10 days before Election Day.
Voter registration must be completed by November 3, 2026. Online registration is available.
Same-day voter registration available at walk-in voting centers and on Election Day.
Polls are open from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM on Election Day. If you are in line when polls close you are entitled to vote.
