Voting Rules in Georgia
Strict photo ID required to vote in person and for absentee ballots (ID number required on application).
Absentee voting requires an excuse. Voter ID number required on absentee application.
Early voting available 17 days before Election Day through the Friday before.
Voter registration must be completed by October 6, 2026. Online registration is available.
Registration deadline is 28 days before Election Day.
Polls are open from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM on Election Day. If you are in line when polls close you are entitled to vote.
