Voting Rules in Delaware
Voters are asked to show ID when arriving at the polling place but are not required to do so to vote.
Any registered voter may vote absentee without an excuse.
Early voting available at select locations in the 10 days before Election Day.
Voter registration must be completed by October 10, 2026. Online registration is available.
Delaware's same-day registration law was ruled unconstitutional in 2022. Deadline is 24 days before Election Day.
Polls are open from 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Election Day. If you are in line when polls close you are entitled to vote.
