Voting Rules in Connecticut
First-time voters who registered by mail must show ID. Established voters verified by signature or poll record.
Any registered voter may request an absentee ballot without an excuse.
Early voting available starting 14 days before Election Day.
Voter registration must be completed by October 27, 2026. Online registration is available.
Election Day registration available at town clerk offices.
Polls are open from 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Election Day. If you are in line when polls close you are entitled to vote.
