Voting Rules in Alaska
ID requested but not strictly required. Non-photo ID accepted. Voters may sign an affidavit if no ID.
Any registered voter may request an absentee ballot without an excuse.
Early in-person voting available at select locations in the weeks before Election Day.
Voter registration must be completed by October 4, 2026. Online registration is available.
Same-day registration available only for presidential/vice-presidential voting.
Polls are open from 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Election Day. If you are in line when polls close you are entitled to vote.
